FAQ's

PCPA has secured a group rate at the Grand Hyatt. Limited rooms are available on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 September at $300pr/pn. Once this allocation has be utilised a group rate of $340 pr/pn will apply. Please book your room early!

For Advanced Trainees traveling regionally or from interstate, PCPA will cover accommodation cost on Saturday 7 September, and Friday 6 September for remote trainees.   

Accommodation rate is for room only. A light working breakfast will be served at the Mayfair Ballroom on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Please note that the hotel check-in time is 3:00pm.

On Sunday, please ensure you have checked out of your room prior to the commencement of meeting sessions. The official hotel check-out time is 11:00, and additional fees will apply after this time, which will remain the responsibility of the attendee to settle.

Luggage can be stored with the hotel concierge on arrival and until departure.

We welcome all Consultants, Advanced Trainees, Cancer Nurses, Cancer Patient Advocates and Practice Managers. PCPA reserves the right to decline inappropriate registration applications.

On submission of the online registration form, please download the calendar reminder to hold the dates. Your registration will be acknowledged via email, and your requirements confirmed. A reminder email will be send the week prior to the event.

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the event organisers. For any cancellations and changes to your requests after registration closes on Friday 9 August, please contact Libbi Langford at the PCPA Event Management Team.

These programs are in high demand with a set capacity. Once full, a wait list will be established. Please be considerate to fellow PCPA Members and Advanced Trainers – advise as soon as possible if you are no longer able to attend.

Attendance at the PCPA ASM is voluntary. While PCPA and the venue will adhere to all health regulations in place, impacts of COVID-19, such as quarantining, remain the responsibility of the individual.

For the Meeting Program neat casual wear is acceptable, although it is recommended to bring a jacket for warmth as the conference rooms can be chilly.

For the PCPA Networking Reception after the meeting on Saturday, neat casual wear is suitable for both men and women.  This social event will be held in the Foyer, Grand Hyatt from 5:00pm – 7:00pm.

Each delegate at the meeting will receive a name badge upon registration. The badge will be your official pass and must always be clearly visible to obtain entry to all sessions and for conference catering.

Annual PCPA Scientific Meeting 

For delegates, speakers and sponsors registration entitles each attendee to:

  • Admission to all sessions
  • Meeting program, list of delegates and any hand-out materials
  • Conference catering including light breakfasts, lunches, morning and afternoon teas
  • An dedicate barista and coffee cart
  • Social networking event on Saturday afternoon
  • Access to released speaker presentations post event
  • For regional and interstate Advanced Trainees, PCPA will cover Saturday night accommodation (one night)
  • For those Advanced Trainees traveling from remote areas,  PCPA will cover two nights accommodation
  • PCPA will cover registration costs for all invited Consultant members, Advanced Trainees, Cancer Nurses and Cancer Patient Advocates, speakers and sponsors.

Attendees will be responsible for the payment of any items not listed above, including room incidentals and additional charges for guests.

Attendees will be responsible for adhering to Covid Safe government policies and any requirements advised onsite by the venue.

For PCPA Members and Advanced Trainees cost immediately associated with the meeting sessions are covered by PCPA.

Approved non-members are welcome to join the sessions for a fee of A$175 for Saturday only sessions, or A$250 for both Saturday and Sunday.

Should accommodation for Scientific Meeting attendees, local Advanced Trainees, or sponsors be requested, these costs remain the responsibility of the attendee, and are to be paid directly to the hotel.

Incidental and personal expenses made outside the scope of entitlements remain the responsibility of the attendee.

Registration will close on Friday 9 August. Please register early to avoid missing out. You can continue to make updates to your registration until closing. Waitlist requests will be assessed after the closing date.

For Invited Speakers (external to PCPA), please complete only personal and registration details. As a complimentary guest no registration payment is required.

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the same time you register for the meeting and book your travel that you take out an insurance policy of your choice. The event organisers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance.

Attendee numbers are limited. Registrations will be assessed and accepted on a first come basis. Once capacities are reached additional attendees may request to be placed on a waitlist.
